St. Peter’s International School – An IB World School

From September 2015, St. Peter’s International School offers our Secondary School students the opportunity to carry out the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. After having received official authorisation from the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO), granting us the title of IB World School, our school is now one of the seven IB World Schools in Portugal, making us part of this international educational community.

The IB Diploma Programme (DP) is an academically challenging and balanced programme that prepares students from the age of 16 to 19 for success at university and life beyond. It is structured in such a way that develops the intellectual, social, emotional and physical well-being of students.

The Diploma Programme prepares students for effective participation in a rapidly evolving and increasingly global society and has gained recognition and respect from the world’s leading universities. It is the IB’s objective to provide students with values, opportunities and experiences that will enable students to contribute to the global community.
