Beginning of the School Year - Secondary School National System
On Tuesday, 10th September the 2019-2020 the school year began at St. Peter's International School.
In the morning, students were welcomed by their teachers and form tutors, and later met alumni from different areas of study who were invited to return to our school to talk to our current students about their experience in secondary school, at university and in the job market.
From the Science and Technology course, former student, Maria Inês Rocha, who is currently in the 6th year of Medicine at the University of Lisbon, having already done an exchange programme in Vienna, Austria.
From the Visual Arts course, Diogo Rodrigues, who started to study Architecture at the University of Lisbon, but moved to the Art and Multimedia course at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the same University, finished his studies and is now working in Los Angeles in animation for video games.
From the Languages and Humanities course, former student, Maria Iordanova, who took a Law at the Universidade Catholica, a master's degree from the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands, is currently working in a law firm, currently doing an internship for the Bar Association.
Finally, from the socio-economic sciences course, Carolina de Jesus, who finished her studies in Management and Economics at the Universidade Catholica, has worked and studied in Spain, the United States of America, Canada and China.
With this open dialogue from their peers, our current St. Peter's International School students learned that with effort, rigor, dedication and hard work, all goals and aspirations of success can be achieved.
