Honour and Merit Awards

The Honour and Merit Awards are intended to provide an educational incentive for the students’ development of positive attitudes and school spirit, and not constitute a form of discrimination.

The Honours and Merit Awards aim to distinguish those students who have developed during each school year excellence in their work. They provide an extra incentive for the students’ educational process and for the development of positive attitudes towards the teaching-learning process in which they are involved.

The Merit Award recognises those students who excel in any area of behaviour and attitude, which may assume various different forms according to the nature of the student’s action, the student may be awarded for outstanding athletic performance or any other relevant achievement.

 The Honour Awards acknowledges students who show excellent school results, perform outstanding academic work or carry out relevant pedagogical activities. It is also given to students who, in addition to their excellent academic results, also show an overall moral conduct of excellence.
