IGCSE - Form 9
Starting in September 2019, St. Peter’s International School will offer the IGCSE Programme in Year 9. The course will be taught over 2 years (Year 9 and Year 10) and students will have the opportunity to study 8 subjects, which will include the core compulsory ones: First Language, one Second Language, Mathematics, one subject from the Natural Sciences area and Physical Education. Each subject will follow the Cambridge Assessment International Education recommended guided time of 130 teaching hours over the two years of the programme.
Assessment
IGCSE subjects will be assessed using the A* to G grade system, recommended by Cambridge Assessment International Education recognised by the Portuguese Ministry of Education with the following conversion table, published by Portaria 224 in 8th March 2006.
